BASF Ferro Extra I - 1995 - US
BASF may be most well known for developing Chromium Dioxide Type II tape, but they were no slouch at good old Type I either.
A lot of BASF Ferric tape was used for pre-recorded cassettes. National Audio Company are still using BASF tape to load into their well regarded cassettes.
Here we have some of the last Type I that BASF (now EMTEC) sold.
Give it some NR and negative bias and you'll find a Type I that's almost up there with the TDK AD, at a more reasonable price.
Note: Regular A-Grade cassette. Made in Germany. Large case. Decent but scuffed wrapper. Silver letters on clear shells.
Note: B-Grade. BASF/Emtec Made in Germany. Wrapper intact and without cuts but very scuffed. Gold letters "FE-I Ferro Extra" on clear shells. Slim case.

Slightly different picture. Just one available. It does not have the words "For CD" and the printed letters on the cassette shell are in silver not gold. Made in Germany.
