Sony JHF - 1978 - JP
Sony JHF is an early high‑bias (CrO₂) cassette engineered with ultrafine magnetic particles and a uniaxial‑anisotropy coating for improved efficiency and high‑frequency stability. Designed to deliver wide dynamic range with reduced print‑through, it offers clean, reliable performance typical of Sony’s first‑generation Type II formulations. Although positioned below later UX and UX‑S models, JHF represents Sony’s foundational approach to CrO₂ tape technology and remains a solid example of their early high‑bias development.
