XHE Audio Magnetics - Metal IV - 1981 - CA

OEM by Denon. The Denon DXM deemed to have come out in 1981, would not have XHE come out 2 years earlier, but almost 45 years later, who knows exactly?! I distinctly remember being a big buyer of XHE cassettes between late 1980 and 1982, and I never even saw these then! Lol!

These have also been spotted on sale throughout the USA, but this one specifically was imported by Audio Magnetics, into Canada. See pic on reverse side.

This is XHE's only Metal cassette. Denon, the manufacturer, recommends these to be  recorded at around +7db. These are... scarce and priced as such.

Note 1: 90 Minutes: One small rip (repaired). See pics. CAREFUL! This is a USED tape! It's in excellent condition, but it is used! The tape is practically perfect all the way through. Even at the beginning, counter up to "0025" you see minimal and soft tape unevenness. Only 1 available.

About Denon:

Denon (株式会社デノン Kabushiki Kaisha Denon) is a Japanese electronics company that was involved in the early stages of development of digital audio technology, while specializing in the manufacture of high-fidelityprofessional and consumer audio equipment. For many decades, Denon was a brand name of Nippon-Columbia, including the Nippon Columbia record label. The Denon brand came from a merger of Denki Onkyo and others in 1939. In 2001, Denon was spun off as a separate company with 98% held by Ripplewood Holdings and 2% by Hitachi. In 2002, Denon merged with Marantz to form D&M Holdings. On March 1st, 2017, Sound United LLC completed the acquisition of D+M Holdings.
