TYPE II - High Bias 70μs -  Made in Japan

BLACK FRIDAY, BOXING DAY, CYBER MONDAY, MOVING SALE... !?
It's here everyday! Plus apply to get up to 12% off from your Cassette Coins Loyalty Program, which is Free to join. 12% off will make this prized tape a joke at $66.74, a discount of $9.10!

As per Teac, their HDX tape is the world's first to utilize super alloy magnetic particles. In essence it will give you as close a performance as a Metal tape in the 70μs setting. Teac goes further and states that the MOL performance is actually higher than that of conventional Metal tape formulations. In line with the likes of the TDK HX-S and the Denon HD8. Metal type performance on Type II settings.

Note 1: 90 minutes: B-Grade.Light scuffing on the front side of the tape. The back is about perfect. The other tape has a 1 cm hairline crack on the front of the case. Too insignificant to even bother with a picture, but if you want, one can be provided upon request. One (1) available!
Note 2: 90 minutes: These are about box-fresh cassettes, with possibly the odd soft scratch. Only a few available!

About TEAC CORPORATION

Founded in 1953, TEAC became a cornerstone of Japan’s audio industry, producing both consumer and professional recording equipment. TEAC produced some of the most sought after cassette decks, apart from many other HiFi components. Their top deck was the Z‑7000, a flagship model that embodied the company’s engineering focus on stability, fidelity, and durability. The Z‑series decks were admired for their robust transport mechanisms and clean, natural playback, appealing to serious HiFi enthusiasts.

Parallel to its hardware, TEAC marketed premium blank cassettes. Their iconic and multi-coloured Reel-to-Reel cassettes are an absolute must in any cassette enthusiast's collection, sealed or used. While branded under TEAC, strong evidence suggests these were OEM products manufactured by That’s (Taiyo Yuden), a Japanese company renowned for its advanced tape formulations and distinctive packaging during the early 1980's. This OEM relationship allowed TEAC to offer consumables that matched the performance expectations of its decks without investing in its own tape production facilities. Eventually they also turned to SKC of South Korea to produce these great super ferric CDX cassettes.
