SERVICED: This Sansui Compo Stereo system was serviced, September 19th. 2023, by Klaasson Vintage Audio in Orillia, Ontario. See last picture.
PERFORMANCE & CONDITION: This unit is operating practically as intended.
* There is a glitch with the FM scale. It seems to cover from about 93MHz to 108MHz. It needs a small adjustment and it was overlooked by the technician, but I am not bringing the unit back to him for this.
* The cassette mechanism works very well in playback and recording mode. One glitch here as well though, the erase head is not erasing well. So, if you are using a brand new blank tape to record on, it will record exceptionally well, otherwise your other option is to bulk erase the tape prior to recording here with this Sansui system.
* The Sound? It has stunning deep base and clear soundings highs. I can only compare it to the JVC PC-5 in this class of 3 and 4-piece compo systems. Absolutely brilliant system.
