REALISTIC SUPERTAPE GOLD - 1978 - US

Realistic were a brand of Radio Shack / Tandy Corporation.

This was a US made cassette, sold in the late 70's and extensively during the early 80s, also widely distributed in Canada. Realistic never produced "pretty" tapes, until they got Denon to produce a few runs for them in the late 80's, using Denon's famous HD Large window shells. Apart from that, they are typically the "Simpletons" of the cassette industry. The tape though is another matter, and on that front, their tape formulations were always decent performers.

Supertape GOLD is Radio Shack’s premium ferric formulation (type I) tape. This high performance tape is designed to provide superior recordings on all cassette equipment. Described by Realistic as "The Ultimate Dynamic Range Recording Tape".

Note 1: 60 Minutes: Only 1 available.
Note 2: 90 Minutes: Only a few left now. Get your Realistic Supertape Premium Ferric cassette now only at $3.78.

Side Note! I opened one of these tapes up to take pictures of the tape and the pressure felt pad had come off its place. This is an easy repair, so I will not tinker with these. They are sealed by a clear round sticker. UNREALISTIC PRICE! Pun intended! :)
