Protek - PX1 and PX - 1988~1992
Made in Hong Kong, these Protek tapes represent two different eras of production. Because official info is scarce, our dating is currently an 'educated guess.' If you have evidence that could help us pin down a more accurate timeline, we’d love to hear from you!
Collector's Corner: Originally distributed by Proturn Inc. (65 Riviera Drive, Markham, ON). The company was a staple of the Canadian blank media market in the 90s before the brand (and the Riviera Drive location) became associated with Recoton Canada.
Note 1: 1988: PX1: C90: Fairly clean tapes, with little scuffing, but they do have some small blemishes. One of them has a 1.3cm hairline crack on the reverse side, but it's insignificant as you do not need to replace the plastic case. Only 3 available.
