FUTRON MXF Computer Cassette - 1981 - Made in Hong Kong
A most NOSTALGIC Computer Tape!
This one truly hits home for me! I remember using these tapes in the Fall of 1981 in what was the first set of Computer Sciences classes offered at now long gone Brother Edmund Rice Secondary School, located at 55 Pelham Avenue in Toronto, Ontario. Such good memories...
This cassette features real aluminum reels and visibly quite dark and smooth quality tape. This tape is meant for recording 10 minutes (5 aside) of computer programming, and probably about 18 Minutes of Audio recording. If carefully done, you can replace the existing tape with new tape to get anywhere between 45 Minutes (22.5 x 2) up to 60 Mins (30 x 2) of audio recording.
Note 1: C10: These did not come sealed, other than inside a bag containing 3 each inside. The bags were dirty and I would only sell such relics individually, so I cut the bag open and sealed the tapes in a nice clean custom wrapper/bag. Very few available.

About this Futron Computer Tape:
These were made in Hong Kong. The company that made them, made several variations, mostly according to whomever was ordering them. They made them for the NA market, but I'm certain they made them for many other markets. These just haven't exactly surged up in other markets.
The year of manufacturing is circa 1981. Computer Sciences had just been introduced in Canada (circa 1981), and I dare say, it may have even been introduced in 1980 in some selected schools.
