STEREOCHROM HD

Agfa made excellent Type II cassettes as well.

This is a lovely, iconic, cassette from the mid 80s made in Germany.

These are true chrome cassettes and are not suited for just any cassette deck. They are challenging to bias and calibrate. Do not ask for refunds.

These cassettes are visibly perfect and 100% sealed, but are almost 40 years old. I have no idea if there is some degradation on the magnetic tape or not. These are sold as nostalgic relics and are expensive. You want a challenge (?), then go ahead and try recording on them. If you prefer to produce good recordings with tapes that will not cost you nearly as much and are more guaranteed not to fail you? Buy more recent, cheaper type I and II tapes.

This should be expected of any tape this old whether you buy them from me or from other sites.

Note: These tapes have a bit of wrapper damage in the front due to price sticker that was applied to it. Damage seems to have occurred when the price tag was applied. I removed the sticker super carefully and did not inflict any additional damage. The image is of an undamaged one. It is priced to reflect the small damage.

Agfa-Gevaert N.V. (Agfa)

is a Belgian-German multinational corporation that develops, manufactures, and distributes analogue and digital imaging products and systems, as well as IT solutions. The company has three divisions. Agfa Graphics offers integrated prepress and industrial inkjet systems to the printing and graphics industries. Agfa HealthCare supplies hospitals and other care organisations with imaging products and systems, as well as information systems. Agfa Specialty Products supplies products to various industrial markets. It is part of the Agfa Materials organization. In addition to the Agfa Specialty Products activities, Agfa Materials also supplies film and related products to Agfa Graphics and Agfa HealthCare.

Agfa film and cameras were once prominent consumer products. However, in 2004, the consumer imaging division was sold to a company founded via management buyout. AgfaPhoto GmbH, as the new company was called, filed for bankruptcy after just one year.[2] The brands are now licensed to other companies by AgfaPhoto Holding GmbH, a holding firm. Following this sale, Agfa-Gevaert's commerce today is 100% business-to-business.
