Performance: The unit was recently serviced and it sounds really good. The cassette mechanism is working very well and sounding excellent on playback mode. It is also recording, with a new blank tape or even over a pre-recorded tape, and the quality is acceptable. You need to switch the "Function" button to Mon(itor) Level 1 or 2 to hear the recording you're making. The FM is strong. The AM was not tested (basement level). External speakers outputs, and condenser mics were not tested, but these features typically work. The stereo sound feature does not work as it was repaired to be listened to a Mono setting only. This unit is about 44 years old, you have to expect that something is no longer working as if it came out of the assembly line last week.
