SONY HF-Pro - 1989 - JP
Here is a formulation based on super cobalt crystals with an extremely high output on all bands coupled with a ceramic composite guide to further reduce modulation noise. Excellent tape formulation for Digital sound reproduction, for an overall better sounding cassette even when compared to the very hard to beat HF-ES Super Ferric.
They encompass the deep bass of a ferric, but with the high frequency response of a chrome, with the ability to take so much signal that NR isn't needed.
These Sony tapes are up there with the best of... dare I say it... Metals (IV)?!
A classic, well made, Sony shell with amazing tape inside. They don't get much better, but the price reflects this and their rarity. These were made strictly for the Japanese market. Wrappers show some very minor scuffing and one has a 2mm x 4mm rip on the back of the wrapper (will sell that one last).
Only 1 available at a time, for a total of 5 available. I don't expect to ever see these come around again. Added on November 18, 2022

Walkman originally referred to portable audio cassette players. The company now uses the Walkman brand to market its portable audio and video players as well as a line of former Sony Ericsson mobile phones.
